SNAP! 2010 WAS A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

On Sunday, March 21, over 550 photography aficionados gathered to bid on artwork, enjoy great food and drink and celebrate SNAP! 2010. The event is both Toronto’s premier photographic art auction and an annual fundraiser for the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT). SNAP! provides a great opportunity for both established and emerging artists to showcase their work.

We couldn’t have done it without you!

Thanks to our patrons, sponsors and donors, artists and art galleries and silent auction participants! 2010 was our most successful SNAP! yet, with a whopping total of over $300,000 generated for ACT programs and services. Funds raised will help ACT continue to provide vital support to people living with, affected by and at risk for HIV/AIDS.

Congratulations are in order

Congratulations to all our artists! Our Live Auction highest bid was $6500, placed on “Last Orders” by Dan Dubowitz. Elevator Digital Photo Competition award-winning submissions were James Blake, Lorne Wolk, Leni Johnston, Mary Perdue, Gillian Manford and JJ Levine, winner of the Jim P. Shea Memorial Award for Best Overall Submission.

And finally, our three lucky SNAP! Speed Raffle Prize winners are: 1st Prize, Rolyn Chambers; 2nd Prize, Rita Chan; and 3rd Prize, Anne Peiris.
