HARRY POTTER: THE EXHIBIT AT THE ONTARIO SCIENCE CENTRE

Today I was invited to a special Media Preview, walk through with exhibitors and organizers, followed by a question and answer period with some of the actors from the movie, for the Harry Potter Exhibit at the Ontario Science Centre.

James and Oliver Phelps who played Fred & George Weasley in the movie.

The Honourable Michael Chan Minister of Tourism & Culture, Lesley Lewis the CEO of the Ontario Science Centre, Eddie Newquist EVP & Chief Creative Officer of GES, Robin Stapley VP of Creative Studio of GES, were also in attendance along with all the major media outlets in Toronto. It was a big premier.

I was blown away by the exhibit. Simply amazing! Such attention to detail. Beautiful craftsmanship. Gorgeous authentic costumes and props from the Harry Potter films, displayed in elaborate settings inspired by the film sets, like the Great Hall, the Sorting Hat, Gryffindor common room, classrooms, the Quidditch, Hagrid’s Hut, the Forbidden Forest, etc.. What an experience!

Truly a must see for little and big Harry Potter fans alike. Even if you are not a fan you wont help but be mesmerized by the beauty, excellence and ‘magic’ of it all!

I felt like I was transported into the famous wizard’s magical world.

It was also so cute to see the few kids in attendance, who were lucky enough to get a sneak peak, in awe at the MAGIC of the exhibit. They were wearing their Harry Potter glasses, scarfs, caps and waving their Harry Potter replica wands about. CUTE OVERLOAD!

I wanted my own light up Harry Potter magic wand I saw in the Harry Potter gift store. I plan on buying it when I go back just because it was so cool (and maybe a few other gifts for all the little Harry Potter fans in my life).

Everyone in attendance had a lot of FUN (I think the adults were having more fun than the kids lol) and I plan to go back at least once with my niece and some other kids.

….. any excuse to be a big kid and have fun 🙂

I highly recommend that you get your tickets online ASAP because this exhibit will not be here for long, it it will be very popular and I am certain it will sell out!

***There is limited capacity in the exhibition and we expect sell-outs. Purchasing tickets in advance is recommended (or advised).

*And to think, all of this beauty, wonder and magic, started from a dream of one woman…

JK Rowling.com the author of the Harry Potter book series, ‘is perhaps equally famous for her “rags to riches” life story, in which she progressed from living on welfare to multi-millionaire status within five years’.

Thank you J.K. Rowlings for DREAMING so BIG and for having the courage to pursue your dreams! INSPIRING!
